IF - we were Floorball ball producers we would get our act together and have our balls on this list

This is a list of approved balls for Pickleball

List of USAPA/IFP Approved Tournament Balls

  • Cosom Fun Ball
  • Dura Fast 40
  • Dura Fast 26 (Large Hole)
  • Easton
  • Jugs Bulldog
  • Mach-Z
  • Onix Sports 503
  • PickleballCentral Model TOP
  • Rawlings
  • TNT
  • Uniker Sport Ace 40  Note: Some of these balls have been observed to become out-of-round after moderate play time. These balls may not comply with rule 2.D.4.
The truth is that Pickleball is way larger than Floorball in the USA - and probably in Canada too.
The first ball on this list is the ball that started the Floorball craze and most likely also the Pickleball Craze. It is the Cosom Funball. Search this site and you will see what we have written about it here before - how Clinton V. Carlson came up with the manufacturing process and the ball itself.
Pickleball rules say that the surface must be smooth - but rules are in place to be changing over time, right? If some Floorball ball producer were able to get their ball certified as a pickleball they could most likely increase their sales volumes over night... like with a bunny jump.
The Fun Ball via IPF baby!

This link to specific Pickleball technical criterias are dead for the moment - but hey we do not think they differ very much from Floorball Balls.

Floorball Ball producers - if you do not look into the American market - well we will not say what we think... here...yet...

Caution

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.

Also if you get addicted to this sport - do not blame us!
