Big International Military News

We know that the Swedish Armed Forces are one of the largest sponsors of Floorball in Sweden. One expression of this sponsorship is the camo designs on the Floorball courts in the highest Swedish league.
We also know that the Swedish Armed Forces also developed their very own Floorball stick. They also actively use Floorball to keep their forces in shape and for educational purposes.

Today is has been announced that the Finnish military also actively use Floorball for fitness and educational purposes. Unfortunatley this clip covering this is produced in Finnish.

But the pictures speak a very clear language.

US Army? No, not yet they probably still mainly do Basketball... But one day we hope they will discover Floorball too - since this would be good for both the Army and the sport.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
