The significance of Floorball in the SEA Games

Vox Sports lay out the significance of Floorball in the next South East Asian Games - the SEA Games.

Here just a quote...

"Floorballers and fans alike will be treated to a show here on home territory, as floorball will make its full debut during the upcoming SEA Games held here in Singapore. A relatively new sport, floorball was introduced as recently as twenty years ago, reaching to a huge audience ever since its introduction.

The tournament is set to feature in the SEA Games after the prestigious World University Floorball Championship 2014 (WUFC) also taking place here in Singapore.

Floorball as a sport has developed tremendously in Singapore ever since its introduction in 1994, garnering support from various organisations such as schools. As such, Singapore has became one of Asia’s strongest teams, and perhaps the team to beat in the upcoming SEA Games."

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
