Canada Hockey Players would beat US Hockey players - In Floorball

There is no doubt that Canada is lightyears ahead of USA in Floorball right now - no now we do not talk about pure Floorball players or expats doing Floorball in the US - we talk about Ice Hockey players... exploring Floorball.

Read this:
"It’s a real testament to the ability of floorball and a testament to what the kids learned through the Parkland Hockey Academy (that no longer exists) through their off-ice skill. It’s been a continuation of a love for the game from learning it at the academy level to taking it to what we now have as a club level.”

An interesting note to these victories, the coach continued, is that the floorball season locally is quite short given the length of the regular ice hockey season. While many teams, including the European ones that were on hand in Toronto over the Victoria Day long weekend, play the game almost year-round while here, it’s a shoulder season sport.

“We give the boys a few weeks off (after ice hockey) and then we do this club to promote the sport in our area,” Thibeault said of the season, which runs from February to May."

All this is happening while USA Hockey continues to promote Softball and/or other old traditional activities. Yep different sports are good - but some is very less different and they transfer skills in both directions way better.

Go Canada Go!
This is amusing to us.

Caution

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
