Value & Choice plus happiness and questions for the parent

Capitalism or the market economy bring two important things to life. First the transfer of value (the bills you give someone represents value in some way for both parties) - but since the system also allow choice - the consumer makes a product or service "election" each time he or she buys or pays for something.
Right - not too much tricky things with this, and we also know that a well oiled market economy that is free from regulations creates a fairly good platform for delivery, dynamics or change.
This said even if we at times wonder if politicians understand this basic notion - or even people in education.. Well, that is not what we will talk about here... And yes there are some other areas too just helpfully mended with some sort of economics too - but no not today...

Nope, Now as we make the other observation that connects to this - Happiness has nothing to do with Money.. Or let us rephrase this a bit better.. Happiness is not directly correlated to money or wealth. Some utterly rich people can be very depressed and instant fortune seems to increase the odds for weak happiness - at least in many cases in the long term. Some quadriplegic has in research further displayed as much happiness as the richest guy on the block. So physical abilities does not correlate with happiness either So the point is maybe not to make people rich at first but to make them happy as the very first action?
Therefore we here dare to claim that a professional athlete in Soccer, Football, Ice Hockey or whatever... they are not always or in general terms much more happy than an average Joe playing recreational sports - like perhaps Floorball? The level of happiness seems to relate more to self-actualization instead. What that is? - ok read up on Maslow or just search the subject online - maybe at wikipedia perhaps?'s_hierarchy_of_needs

As Parents - what do you want to do? The first question to answer is; Do you want to bring joy or happiness to your kids? The second question is almost a repeat of what we almost answered above; Will big money compensations provide your child with "eternal happiness" or should you try to have your kids to find self-actualization instead? And from the safety and healthy perspective what do you think is a good sport - if we now agree that sports is a good thing form both body and mind?

We will not answer these questions - You do - and if you have em' all right your earn our admiration. On our final note in this post we just want to highlight that in Sweden - where Floorball has been developed the longest - this sport is one of the largest sports they have. This has occurred through both Value and Choice. Kids seems to find value in Floorball with no super contracts for the best professionals - kids does still pick Floorball in front of almost all other activities offered over there. That is what we call a free choice.
But since a soccer player can make a fortune as a professional - maybe it is not a fully free choice - but hey that means that with no significant push for financial value - Floorball still comes out in the top of sports. Did you not ever wonder why?

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.

Also if you get addicted to this sport - do not blame us!
