The latest via IFF on U19 Floorball and personal developments

A federation we think do a lots of good stuff with a great learning style...

Today they write..
"A total of 26 teams have registered for the 8th Men´s U19 World Floorball Championships, to be held in May 2015 in Helsingborg, Sweden. This will be the first U19 WFC that Sweden have ever hosted. In the qualification events, Belarus, New Zealand, Ukraine* & USA will all be competing for the first time in this category."

Then if you think you as a coach or a ref should have some developments going too... Hey, IFF just said:
"The seminar will be organised in the Austrian Olympic Centre in Innsbruck during the 7th to 9th of June and the focus in the coaching block is on game tactical issues and personal skills. A lot of attention will be given to the on field instruction and how to plan practices and to teach players new things. The observation of players and coaches are also an essential part of the training."

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
