Nope it's not only a game with words...

As we started this blog we had some great ideas. One of the most profound idea was how to relate Floorball to other sports on the American continents. The connection to Ice Hockey was both bold and obvious.
But as we searched for a name that best described this relation - we ended up using something like; Floorball is a great "support-sport" for Ice Hockey. I think one clear comparison we made was the relationship between Football and Futsal.
And, yes, we have swiveled around that concept since.

This week Mr. Bonelli (he knows what he is talking about) used another way to describe this the relation, he said something like a great "gateway to Ice hockey".
We liked that.

And our next thought here is to identify what works as a gateway in a good term - or as a gatekeeper in the negative term as it comes to the introduction of Floorball on the frontiers of sport development.
So instead of us answering that very specific question.. here.

We will just ask you - yes, you yourself:
Are you the person that act like a gateway or are you a gatekeeper for Floorballs further development across pristine and overdue lands of opportunity? ;-D

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
