Empower the Floorball world!

The world of Floorball needs help - it needs help by the best - but we do not talk about giving away sticks - we talk about forces that may empower the rest of the world to increase interest for the new sport - to make it grow.

Let us give a few examples on how this empowerment - is not working as good as it should right now.

A) There is no united force that provides live streams from the best play-offs in local countries. Some streams are behind national pay-walls - some with questionable quality - lagging video and unfair embed codes that re-directs the video to the source page - that is not what we call embed - it is a sneaky re-direct.

B) There is not one united source that reports scheduled top games that are going live. Yes the IFF do a good job on their own arrangements but the other large federations fail to serve their best product on the International scene - in a uniform way. This must change.

C) One of the best sources for Floorball is doubtless Innebandymagazinet that cover Swedish news and often news of high International interest. Since they went with most of their material behind a paywall - one of the best sources of international information died. Yeah we here could pay too - but then the question is if it is right to further share material you pay for? It creates a dilemma indeed beyond sharing in good faith and the intentions of open source.

D) We have already chased Klubbhuset and all product companies using corrective language - since they allows the tv producer to produce the worlds best Floorball clips and product information without closed captions. The same goes for utbildningsradion in Sweden. A state sponsored TV channel - that this winter released a superb TV series on floorball and #LTAD - with only a language version in Danish, beside of the Swedish. For the global Floorball community this is just true waste! Yes we have discussed this latter matter with both SIFB and IFF.

What to do for better empowerment?
First You should complaint about this like we do. Make Your voice heard!

Then we need a constructive solution too.
We suggest a new YouTube Floorball channel. A channel that carries top national new games live - every week. Toss in some extra functionality too. Make this into a magazine for the youth. Have new programmes every day and source clips and programmes from Asia/Oceania, Europe and America - but do it in English... Let computer gamer video productions and other good Youtube production be the guidance. Cost? It depends how the rights to show good material is to be paid for, per user or as in an investment model for growth? - we also know that good YouTube people can make good money just on the native YouTube ad system itself.

This is not a challenge - this is an opportunity to use modern tools to build the sport fast - as fast as the sport itself.
The current growth rate is not fast enough so we need some change here - like now - if u ask us.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.

Also if you get addicted to this sport - do not blame us!
