Floorball heated up Special Olympics in Italy

"Floorball was one of the main sports during the “Try the Sport” in the 25th edition of the National Winter Games of Special Olympics in Sestriere. “Try the Sport” is the initiative by Special Olympics Italia to give the athletes the possibility to try new disciplines during the National Games, thereby allowing them to get to know completely new and dynamic activities."

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
