University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh breaks the ice

Breaking News, it was just reported by Mr. Hart, that the University of Wisconsin broke the ice.
They now sport Intramural Floorball as the first University in Wisconsin.

This means they are now doing what has already been done at Fresno University in California, at Carnegie Mellon University in PA, at MIT in Boston and we also know a University in Michigan earlier sported some Floorball too. We also know that a University in Minneapolis easily could set up their own Floorball team.
We hope to get better coverage about Oshkosh WI soon.

From the military side we have earlier heard about an Air force installation in Prattville AL doing Floorball (could have been at a Y too - we are uncertain but an air force major was indeed involved). We have had some kids Floorball activities done at Ft. McCoy in WI - as dryland training at a swim club and yesterday we learned that an air force base in Colorado also sport a Floorball group.

As soon as we have more from the University or Military world we will bring this development forward.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
