Big News from Minnesota Mite's and Squirts to play Floorball

8U/10U Floorball Tournament at Let's Play Hockey! FloorballPlanet is pleased to announce the first ever Let's Play Hockey Youth Floorball Tournament. This one-day tournament will be held in the Roy Wilkins Auditorium at the RiverCentre in St. Paul MN on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Information About the 2014 Let's Play Hockey Youth Floorball Tournament
With the support of Let's Play Hockey and Minnesota Hockey, FloorballPlanet is pleased to host the first ever 2014 Let's Play Hockey Youth Floorball Tournament. The one day tournament will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the Roy Wilkins Auditorium at the St. Paul RiverCentre in St. Paul, Minnesota during the second day of the Let's Play Hockey Expo.

There will be two divisions - Mite (8U) and Squirt (U10).

We are expecting 10 to 12 teams in each division. Teams will be made up of youth hockey teams from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area who have been invited by Minnesota Hockey. Each team will be composed of 10-12 players. Game area will be approximately half the size of a regulation floorball court will feature official floorball rink boards. The tournament will begin at 9 am and be completed by 7 pm.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
