Wrestling leads the way with a vision at large

 - did U by the way know that
some Floorball goalies play with wrestling shoes... like these

Here is a very interesting article that speaks a bit about the media future of sports..
http://www.theverge.com/2014/1/8/5289714/wwe-launching-24-7-subscription-network-to-bring-wrestling-to-your
or this one
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/wwe-unveils-new-digital-media-model-and-nonstop-wrestling-with-247-streaming-service-9049262.html

It talks about how WWF - a wrestling organization, well showbiz style - will start to broadcast wrestling to devices - like a phone, a computer or whatever screen you have. And this way short-cut regular media bottle-necks as cable companies satellite channels and more... Several news sources has picked this up.
It seems like they are early on this since the subscription model - to be profitable it needs - maybe a million subscribers. But as you have a subscription you will get access to wrestling 24/7 on their own channel online. And it all starts next month.

And Floorball?
We guess that we all will end up at the same place too sooner or later and/or/but this might take some time - even if WWF say this will go way faster than you think..
Hmm, much traditional English news on Floorball still follow office hours more than a 24/7 model and it is probably a few years until the library of games or other material is at the critical point where Floorball could do the same.
Still this hints about an interesting direction. We think maybe Floorball should be organized in a more global way so we have a news flow that comes more according to a 24 hours/7days model - instead of office hours in Europe?
Then even if Floorball still take steps in the direction of more global dominance - the platform used for video sharing, like in Sweden, are almost proprietary systems - or at least not big global standardizing systems - bound to geography - or how many of you think solid tango has servers streaming floorball from South America for instance (we do not think so)?
Ney, the direction or at least the vision must be a global 24/7 streaming Floorball service for Floorball too down the road... but the first step in this direction should be to organize material in uniform ways and maybe think more about the global audience - as well as to think about.. when news are floating out and around?

The latest YouTube streams via the WFC2013 had just incredible features with streams that could be started at almost any time - and with delays of only a few minutes. This is the first time we saw anything like it before. So to the guys that put the YouTube service for WFC2013 together we raise or hands for U and say hurrah!

The next aim - a full fledged 24/7 Floorball channel  - maybe? Just like the old wrestlers do... and one can also wonder how much sport versus showbiz these wrestlers are engaged in - but that is just another question at large.

Caution

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
