The developments we see in screen-attached kids must be met with a new more active life-style

Science;
Most traditional science tries to understand reality by often testing a hypothesis. Most tests is often reduced to a little part of a holistic reality. Classic science also tries to break down processes and seems utterly good at labeling what is going on. This is good and much knowledge has been harvested this way. But some fields of science does not fit this kinda technocratic methodology. The most advanced research is nowadays not always fully able to follow these more classic ideas - quantum physics for instance - where most experiments interfere with the result by just taking a reading. An the question is if the largest human science questions ever fit very good into the most traditional research methods. hmm.

Leaders;
The idea with a leader is often to make decisions for others. The others are either not capable enough or the leader is so much better informed or has such a much better ways (often money) to make clever decisions..  To have leaders has - historically - been just a good way to do things. The trouble with the internet is that it reduce the difference between the formal leaders, the lead ie the distance between the leader and the lead, and then new informal leaders show up and it all becomes a bit messy. We also suspect that leadership itself is changing from executive decision making into more an art of inspiration. Spoiler alert - think social ledia - yes ledia not media (ops, we just invented a new word here; ledia and u know what - it taste good)

Change;
It started in the 50'ies something with radio. TV took over and with multiple channels and color soon most American kids spent more time in front of a screen - than in school. Then some 15 years ago computers showed up. Then smart phones... And yes we ourselves are paralysed by our own phone screen here too. The latest is tablets and geese are these kids into tablets. Next around the corner we will have wearable computers and it starts with smart watches and now in 2014 Google Glass will enter the stage too. This is the reality.

The Big Picture;
We think the screen invasion in our life is good. It has the potential for learning new matters at a pace and at an amount never heard of before and the human race will become extremely clever and well informed. But there is a disconnect here. The pace of intellectual developments through different screens does not cater to the bodies of young kids (with the exception of kinect type games). The school system still rely much of their physical education on hundreds of years old (often mainly still standing) sports.
The developments we see in screen-attached kids must be met with a new more active life-style.
Classical science does not seem to be in the right place to see this holistic pattern. But it can well spot empty playgrounds. The same with the leaders we have, they rely on science but the question is if they are that very much more or better informed than their own grassroots today?

It's like global warming - traditional science say that the earth seems to become warmer - but the connection that we must stop burning fossil fuel now - is not that clear since this connection is very complex as traditional thesis based models are being used... and where would you find a leader daring to say this - until it is too late?

So, nope our mission here is not to fix the global warming matter. But we do want to speed up the development of school sports. We think it is time to introduce yet another US school sport that have many more kids running much longer. This will become even a more pronounced matter as wearable computers will infest our kids.
For heavens sake connect the dots and be not so outlandish afraid for the new thing...
Called Floorball.

Show your own leadership today.

The kids will love you and Floorball too - that is our inspired promise for 2014.

Caution

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.

Also if you get addicted to this sport - do not blame us!
