Our humor failed - but the name Question is very important

Last night we tossed this up as a joke describing two articles on the Name of Floorball

Our joke did not work since the hits to this post linked above stayed fairly low. Ok we can deal with this.
The next interesting observation is how Twitter get more and more important and this blog almost turns into a support function for Twitter - and not the other way around.
But the most important thing in this post is the change from local names of Floorball to - hopefully Floorball on many more markets. This has stirred up so much local reactions.

Innebandymagazinet in Sweden is the only source we have seen that describes this in reasonable ways.
Today they post another article on this matter - this is big matters in many areas that stir up maybe more emotions than analytic skills...? OK here is another incredible good article on this - but you must google or bing a translation...
Germany leads the way

Now people say hey in the US and in Canada this is called Floorball - I do not care. U should care. Floorball is concentrated to FOUR main supermarkets Sweden, Finland, Switzerland and The Czech Republic.
NOoo NONE of these 4 main markets use the name FLOORBALL. Not even the fifth country maybe the sixth... or among the 10 largest or best playing nations - in principle ONLY GERMANY AND DENMARK CALL THIS SPORT FLOORBALL.

THAT IS SERIOUS TROUBLESOME AND THE IFF NOW MAKES GOOD STRIDE TO DEVELOP THIS (the matter has been on the table for 25 years). So we support the IFF here to 100% in this matter. And hey please read that article from above about Germany - it is a good read.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
