Top News - Beautiful ladies

One of today's most shared news articles in Sweden's largest newspaper DN is about Miss Floorball in the Czech Republic.
This is a stunt the organizer put together to increase awareness about the ladies WFC 2013...

Mr. Eriksson the President at IFF tells the newspaper that this was nothing that the IFF is behind and that this might have questionable value from the sporting point. And yes he is right in this..
And.. The Swedish top forward Emelie Lindström say: "very ridiculous this has nothing to do with floorball".

OK, if you now check out our facebook widget to the right on this page you will see how the Czech's also promote Floorball and players during a main Hockey game in the Czech Republic.

We think that the Czech's are doing a good job. We think the Swedish discussion is tacky. We think Floorball and its communicators has two main dimensions to work with; It is the sport itself and the very promotion of the sport.
If nice looking girls like to show how nice they are - so be it. And no it has not too much with the sporting value to do... But it has a heck of a lots to do with the promotions efforts of the sport. That part could according to us here as an independent and free voice have even more value that the sporting value.
This is also why we love Happee and all their efforts including their semi-nude calendar they have made.

This discussion should not be about if a beauty contest is ridiculous or not - this discussion should instead be about all North American and South American Kids that never ever even heard about Floorball. That is a real subject to discuss in main Swedish media - if you ask us here!

We support the Czech and we like all things that comes with the Floorball culture - irrespective if IFF is behind it or not.
A main lesson in public relations states - all promotion is good promotions and there is no such thing as bad promotion. Point.

Caution

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.

Also if you get addicted to this sport - do not blame us!
