Storm Hockey Clinic in Tomah

Coach Jeff Carlson, came to Tomah, WI today and we were able to exchange a few words with him about Floorball. Mr. Carlson first used Floorball in his off-ice activities already two years ago up in North Dakota as a true frontier. He also acknowledged that he recently been up in Canada and seen how more and more Floorball sticks shows up at places including at sporting outlets. He further mentioned that he has been observant upon what is happening up North from North Dakota in Brandon Canada - where Floorball suddenly is a respected activity for young hockey players with their own summer league.
The hockey players at todays clinic was also offered a Floorball unit and we suspect that this probably was the first time Floorball has been played at a Hockey Club in Wisconsin - with a possible reservation for Sauk Prairie Hockey.
We have some raw video footage from today - that we may edit and toss up asap.

In other news from Tomah; A Floorball session took place at the Boys and Girls Club this week and for next week hundreds of scouts celebrating Halloween will play a creepy form of Floorball too.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
