Tatran sets the pace - rehab style

The IFF reports:
The Czech Men´s Extraliga team, Tatran Stresovice, has started a project where injured players train and play with manual wheelchair players.
DON´T STOP - is the title of this new project. The aim of the project is to bring together injured players and disabled athletes.
The first Tatran wheeler is Jan Natov, the left forward of Tatran Stresovice and Czech national team, who broke a metatarsal bone and can´t play for one month.
- We tried to find something that injured players could do, during their injury. And the project DON´T STOP came out of this. We would like to use the wheelchair floorball opportunity for injured players whenever possible and also want to promote floorball disabled athletes, says Tatran coach Jiří Jakoubek.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
