Respect and Dodgeball

Dodge ball might been seen as fun kids game. But as you boil it down to the bare-bones, it is about tossing things on people and you must ask yourself if this is fully respectful behavior?

Anyway in some odd manner big money is involved and you even have a Hollywood produced Film in on it...?
Floorballcentral think Dodgeball could be OK if all the kids are in on it and thinks it is fun... But if even so  only one is hesitant any coach should be very if not extremely careful..
Then we also know that kids often are more prone to take larger risks than adults as they want to have fun so Dodgeball is a tricky subject. From a Floorball standpoint and maybe from the American perspective we however think that every hour spent on Dodgeball during PE and other setting - perhaps should be used for a bit more respectful acrivity - Floorball anyone?

Hollywood maybe? The advertising for Floorball would not hurt...  ;-)

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
