We can not stand this

One spectator say it is disgusting.
We agree.

It is a fight that erupts in the world ball hockey championships when the Czech play Canada just recently. Obvious and nasty blows are directed to the heads. This is just way to low for any civilized activity.

We will not embed things like this here, but it is way to easy for anyone to search for it and find it on YouTube . so here is the link - but we warn you this is nasty:

What more is bad about this? Well it has been picked up by mainstream media - and in an instance Ball Hockey gets hits on YouTube that promotes this emulation of Hockey. And it would not surprise us if this clip shortly will surpass the most seen Floorball clip on YouTube too - not good.

Our big problem here is yet again - how many people will now confuse the rather clean and nice sport of Floorball with this obviously nasty activity. Darn, we think there are too many PE teachers out in North America that thinks that Floorball is more or less the same breed as this..

Let's just once for all say yet again - Floorball is by no means supposed to be compared to an activity like this. Floorball is another breed as it comes to Hockey emulations.
And beside of this - we would easily bet money on the fact that Floorball players are many times more skilled than these players. And we know many Floorball players would agree on this..

Stay Calm and Play Floorball is our best advice.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
