The Kick - is ON

From Sweden we understand that they have now decided that the foot pass in Floorball will become universally allowed.
The foot pass was tested in Finland the previous season and players and refs liked it. So now will both International and Swedish leagues pick up the very same habit.

We think it is a good idea since this will limit the number of stops in the game and we might invite soccer players a bit better to the game too. ;-)
Another rule, among many, that the News outlet Innebandymagazinet in Sweden just discussed - was to remove 5 other funky rules from the game.. Maybe we could agree that the no jump rule is a bit too much now and then.. Then the rule by rule opinion is probably rather personal.
But it is good that Floorball is a developing sport - where changes and enhancements to game is introduced. We like that.

Can they foot pass in Ice Hockey nowadays by the way?
Speaking on Ice Hockey... Coachchic's Floorball discussion is still raging on here..

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
