How Floorball will replace Floor Hockey in American High Schools

This is not Theory anymore - this is a reality ..

"WHITBY -- Long ago, Canada's national sport morphed into a more efficient version of the game -- floor hockey. Now floorball is taking its place.
The new sport has become a sensation at Whitby's Henry Street High School. The high school has received funding from the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations' Try Day program to introduce floorball, which involves a feather-light, hollow whiffle ball, special sticks and safer rules than floor hockey."......
"Now floorball has replaced floor hockey in phys-ed. To simulate professional hockey, Mr. Hull appoints general managers from among the students to choose their teams every class. And a Stanley Cup-style trophy made of Tupperware and aluminum foil is at stake for players."

Full story is to be found here.. So if you still do Floor Hockey... well it is not our fault ;-D

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
