Update 2013 Midwest Floorball Championship 3/11

Now it is only days left for the bargain sign-up fee of Floorball teams to 2013 Midwest Floorball Championship in Tomah, where a player only pay 10 dollars for each player.
If you sign up after this Friday you have to pay some 15 dollars for each player.

Tomah has had some 4 teams signed up previous years but we suspect that some 6 Tomah teams if not more will sign up this year, then we also hope to have teams from MN, IL and Wausau, WI.

The ref clinic, hosted by Mr. Anders Buvarp from USAfB and Colorado Springs, as we have mentioned before is at a severe risk to not happen. Mr. Buvarp broke his foot just weeks ago, playing hockey.
Instead we will try to instead arrange a players reception - some kind of a get together at a local bar and restaurant. This is at this point not confirmed but we are working on this matter...

It sounds at this time like we might have local TV with us too and we do aim to also, if possible arrange the very first female only exhibition game, for all interested ladies. This game will be free of charge and played if possible at the same time as the last final.

See U all in Tomah in just a fee weeks time.

Sincerely the 2013 MFC committee.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
