The Swedish King and Queen

This is the Swedish King and his Queen just out doing one of their normal gigs, inaugurating one of the new big, specially designed Floorball arenas in Sweden (they are growing like mushroom over there). We think it is both cool and perfect that the King of Sweden and the Queen acknowledge Floorball..

This time the arena in Vaexsjoe was inaugurated, that is a team that just made it to the SSL. Here is the funny fact - Vaexsjoe has 4 (FOUR) sister cities in the USA... Yawn, or who is on the ball?

But what we really dream of - would have been to see Mr. Carl-Gustaf and Mrs. Silvia to play some Floorball. You know we think Floorball is for all, including Kings and Queens.
We here bet money on the fact that their three kids, they have most likely all tried Floorball at some point (we do know for instance that the racing team that the Swedish Prince Carl-Philip has been driving racer cars for,, well that team do Floorball as a way to improve their fitness. Nope we have yet to find a piture of them playing Floorball.

Last fall the Swedish King traveled to Minnesota to visit the Swedish American institute and the School Gustavus Adolphus in Minnesota (these are things more Swedish than Sweden itself ;-), well almost at least). We hope that next time they go... well a bag of Floorball sticks would probably not hurt either the school or the Swedish American institute...

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
