Let's Play Hockey MN 2013

They say that the Let's Play Hockey MN 2013, is the worlds largest consumer hockey exhibition - maybe it is?

It is just over but were able to talk to some folks that worked the Floorball booth, driven by Floorballplanet and operated by Floorball Extreme, at this years Let's Play Hockey Exhibition in Minneapolis during the last two days...
We understood from this, that the exhibition is very very active with several thousands of visitors and we have seen pictures of very very large hockey crowds at this show. We have pictures in pipeline and hope to have them up soon.
Anyway this year the Floorball booth, and most of all other booths were all packed like in cans of sardines since so many visitors took over the full place. Floorballplanet this year did show some of their very latest sticks from both Salming and X3M. They also showed the super hot and new Twisted Hockey stick from Salming - a product that created very much interest from hard core Hockey players and coaches at the show.

One of the attendants at the stand said "- well it is kind of cool to be in Minneapolis. The very city that the worlds first plastic sticks came from, as well as the first hollow plastic ball with 26 holes... in them... To be in Minneapolis and tell visitors to the stand- well parts of Floorball's birth comes from this very town - and now Floorball is on track to become a future Olympic sport - and well here in Minneapolis - Floorball seems to still be a very new thing."

Floorballcentral also understand that since Floorball was shown a few years ago at this exhibition by Floorballpro from Canada.. There are groups of people that have some connections to Floorball. Some people mentioned that they knew someone with a Floorball stick, or how they had met European Hockey players that indeed did use Floorball in some way or another related to their hockey...

We Hope to have a few Pictures up from this exhibition too asap, but we are on our way to Play Floorball here tonight - and you know - guess what - last Sunday - we played 5 hours of Floorball here in town...
it is kinda growing ;-D

Cheers in the mean time...

Caution

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.

Also if you get addicted to this sport - do not blame us!
