Special Olympics - We're not done with Ireland yet!

Listen to what the head of Special Olympics in Ireland say:

Matt English, CEO Special Olympics Ireland said: “This is such a fantastic achievement for Team Ireland and I want to pay tribute to every one of the athletes and their coaches. They came here as a team prepared and ready to take on the World and that’s just what they did. They have been fantastic ambassadors not only for Ireland but for the sport of floorball and hopefully their success will inspire others to get involved in this exciting team sport”.

The full Irish story is to be found here

....via more informal channels we hear about a great success for Floorball at the Special Olympics and that there are whispers about 30 Floorball teams, and nations, for the games in Austria 2017.
Our opinion is that both Canada and USA must be represented  in 2017- we would see everything else as a bad mistake.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
