IFF's status report on Special Olympic Floorball

IFF state, as they discuss Special Olympics Floorball: "...the aims are now set on receiving the official World Games (WG) status of floorball in the near future."

In a splendid article IFF continue to describe the situation and quote one of the directors in Special Olympics for Asia and Europe - Mr. Mariusz Damentko, he say "I believe that many of the Special Olympics Directors were really impressed by the demonstration tournament"

The same article say that 24 countries is needed to get Special Olympics Floorball recognized as an official sport - and the decision must go through a few formal steps next spring 2014... Today 17 countries have Special Olympics Floorball on their agenda....

So we need 7 more countries in like 12 months time... a good pace to us would be a new country per month... and that does not seem impossible to us here..:-) oh no we are indeed serious about that too.

But You know what? The best thing is that you read the full article from its source here - it is good and this spells soo muuch goood stuff for so many (have you heard that before?)

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
