Dear Diary

Feburary 10th, 2013,
Dear Diary, Today is the day when we filled a gym designed to host 2 Floorball teams in Tomah Wisconsin - with 4 teams - a rough situation for any sport - to have twice as many players as you need (secret hint we still missed many players).

Dear Diary, This is also the day when the numbers of hits from China outstripped hits from USA to this blog - with approx 10 times.

Dear Diary, Then we saw a young 12 year old girl skate full speed into a very fixed board - and she was taken out on a stretcher... We know this may happen in many sports... but we kind of do not understand why sports invented like 137 years ago... well one would think the boards, or the game itself, would have been modernized since then..
Just compare deformation zones on modern cars and cars from that age.. ouch.

Dear Diary,  just as a hint a Floorball board is 50 cm high and folds away in a neat way if you run into it...

Well well well tomorrow is another day - and tomorrow will for sure include Floorball too.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.

Also if you get addicted to this sport - do not blame us!
