Congrats to all ladies in Canada

Canada has today won a second game over the USA in the females qualifying rounds to be able to travel to the World Floorball Championships, December 2013  in the Czech Republic.
To many this is a positive surprise by Canada - and we say congrats to Team Canada and we will send some Wisconsin cheese to Toronto as promised.

Yesterday Canada won with 7-4 and today they won with 2-1 over team USA.

What we like with this is that Canada has a younger team and that they have worked together at "home" to a bit of a larger extent than USA has been able to do - we ourselves think that Floorball starts at home - even if the male USA team only a few months ago showed what wonders looks like using a bulk of expats too.

So what is next - Now many think we will dwell on how to improve team USA - no... The most important thing for Floorball in America - is not to improve a team - the most important thing is instead to improve two continents..
So what we want to see next time - for a ladies qualification to a WFC is girls from Jamaica and Brasil too. We want a qualification round with four American teams and two teams that may travel to a WFC. And even if the USA today lost to Canada - in reality the difference is not so large that they in fact should not go to the WFC...

We claim two things from this Americas round of WFCQ
A) Canada will not be the last team in 2013 women's WFC playoff
B) USA is a team also worthy to participate in such a tourney, as it would neither be the last team in the playoff.. and if we want to develop Floorball in the USA - well we must have a US team in the WFC too.. and that is not even take basic math - to understand.

If we are wrong, and Canada come in at last place, then we have problems - but we do not have the problem of being mediocre - the worse sin of them all - to be mediocre is to not even try.
We try a bit harder here - as many Floorball teams also do..

As soon as we have the embed code - we'll try to toss in the second game here..

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
