Opinions on Europe

Suddenly the opinion has jumped up, online, about an European Floorball Federation. If this is driven by pure enthusiasts or perhaps planted by some influential party - we do not know.

To us here, this makes a good deal of sense. A European Federation would become a dynamic counter part and almost a twin organization for the IFF, and it could take care of all basic European businesses and the main European administration could be dealt with from such an entity. The IFF could also more truly focus upon what is fully International. Then organizational competition would probably spur further developments too...
The other good thing would be that such an organization could be located closer to some more important political sport centers in Europe, think EU, think Strasbourg, think Belgium, think Lausanne, Switzerland etc.. And hey some other sports tend to be organized like this too, probably due to some good reasons too.

But would it not become more expensive? Yes indeed, much much much more expensive. And yes we do think that the current IFF office has some sort of a neat connection to the Finnish Floorball Federation that makes their office run at some kind of a good deal to keep their expenses down. That's good.
But if we sincerely believe that the sport will not only continue to grow fast and also become an Olympic sport - well then more longer and pronounced investments in the future seem to make sense too - since the "organizational engagement" should be in line with the pronounced future beliefs too, right. Maybe Floorball should take on a larger organizational debt plan to invest in a much larger future? And oops, risk the full stability of the current operation? Yes, we know it is easy for us to sit here and toss out ideas like these and support them with words only - after all we are hopefully not the ones that would end up in a debt. But still we just love to juggle ideas here. Hey, Europe go for it, time to get out from the closet - lol!
And from the American perspective - since Asia and Oceania have their very own federation - well, with just a few more American countries on-board - the Americas must aim for their own American Floorball Federation too..

Front Forward and Immer Gerade Aus, just sayin'.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
