Canada - USA ladies American WFC qualifier to come up

In early February the Female's team Canada square off against team USA for the qualifier to WFC2013.

The other day someone asked us how it will go..

With the track record we had from guessing the male WFC2012, eh well it was not too convincing as we did some speculations here - some things came in right and some did not... so no this is, not at least yet, a strong side of this blog.. and then you might wonder - what is? ;-D

But still this is what we think: USA has probably a 65-70% chance to win these two games played Feb one and the second..
We think this speaks for advantage Team USA; Ranking, Experience, a tight team and maybe traditions too?
For team Canada the home turf could mean a boost and a larger squad could also be a positive factor..
Team USA will use 14 players only and this could turn in two ways..either the troop is strong enough and very concentrated to do this - or the task might become a bit though too with mainly playing on two formations. We reserve us if we remember the rosters right - or not - right now we can not reach the roster pages...due to some bad connectivity

Floorball is a rather tricky thing to speculate about - in particular as it comes down to just a few games. A few easy scores can fast drop into goal - in either direction and fast change the pace or the direction in any game. So beyond the hint that we most likely think - the USA this time has a slightly upper hand - we do not dare to speculate further..
Maybe we are cowards?

But, the most important thing for this Qualifier - to us is not that the girls - will win or lose - the most important is that these girls will do this. That they take on the responsibility to represent their own Nations and that they will do this also for their own fun - but also at least to us here - that they mainly do this for the sport of Floorball in America.

Thank You, all involved in this - we owe you our deepest and most sincere respect - and good luck to you all!

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
