Five quick notes from an ordinary Thursday

First, it is fun to read in the historic documents from Cosom - that already like almost 50 years ago - they state in their advertising that if you ask kids if the would like to do Basketball or Cosom Hockey - most kids will pick - come on now - you know what? And what have we learned so far from this? Hmm.

Second Swedish Floorball just tied its largest sponsor deal ever with the Swedish Armed Forces, something that is re-newed deal and will carry over the World Floorball Championships into 2014.

Third we enter a large International weekend with many televised games. If we can we will try to repost material or embed things here. But right now one of your best bets is this link
After your morning coffee, maybe we have some live stuff up here too?

Fourth, A quick search on Google and by using the News search... oops now it is remarkable to see how the word Floorball suddenly shows up much better in such a search - mainly thanks to one thing - Germany.
Since they changed name to Floorball - thank you Germany!

Locally here in Tomah... We are trying to move to a larger venue, since it seems like we have enough players in the current gym and we need to play at two courts at the same time - with the numbers of players we have right now... Yes we might have the local TV guy over Sunday too. Let's see what comes out of that.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
