Summer Product News, Including Oxdog onePiece

Both Salming and Unihoc has new Eye protectors in the pipeline at the state run Floorball certification institute in Sweden.

Salming and X3M have 24 new sticks in the pipeline for certification. Unihoc 25 and Zone 21 - all during the summer of 2012.

It is also our understanding that Oxdog will have the following sticks certified:
Stick,  Oxdog Onepice 26 Oval
Stick,  Oxdog Onepice 26 Round
Stick,  Oxdog Onepice 32 Round

This is the new onePiece Sticks in full carbon from Oxdog. And interestingly enough these sticks will arrive in two flavors of shaft design round and oval. It also looks like the market will be able to pick one stiffer version and a softer one, since it looks like the 26 and 32 indications most likely describe the stiffness of the stick.
We can not find any certification news on one-piece sticks from Unihoc or Salming... even if they both tossed up such videos as soon as Oxdog revealed that they were going onePiece.

The new player "Republic" from Finland that showed up for the first time at ISPO in Germany this year have earlier certified 12 new sticks. The cool thing with them is that they have exact the same postal address as the IFF.
But as it comes to their sticks - we hope that they are aware of - that the competition is stiffer than some of the uttermost stiffest Floortball sticks on the market.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
