Floorball owe a lots of heavy stuff to Baseball

It is true, in 1953 the whiffle ball was invented - for baseball practice purposes - so without Baseball - well maybe Floorball would not even have been here at all.

As we check out the we find a listing for Baseball in terms of burning calories (read fat)
Activity Calories as Burned per Hour - Baseball is rated as a light activity (comparable with household chores) and burning 300-240 calories per hour depending on if you are a Man or Woman (read softball).

Maybe the best way for Foorball to give back and say thank you to Baseball - would be to replace as many baseballers as possible with Floorballers?
Documents from Uppsala University speaks about a calorie burn rate of 800-1000 per hour as you play advanced Floorball..
Or roughly 3 times as intensive as baseball.

Lets say we want to burn fat in the USA and 5 million Baseball players tomorrow switched to Floorball.
Yupp the country would now burn 5 000 000 000 calories per hour played and that is like.. 3 500 000 000 more calories as if the 5 million people would stay with baseball... Amazing huh?

Obesity - do we want to fight it or not? A hot dog in the ballpark or not?

NB no number can exactly provide how much a person actually burn from one activity. there is several different listings of both Floorball and Baseball available online. But doubtless it seems like player gets a much better exercise as they do Floorball versus Baseball in pure terms of burning energy per hour.
