Does Floorball need USA or Does USA need Floorball?

It is a stupid Question of course, but lets’ develop the answers anyway.

It is most likely so that both need each other - and perhaps it is that USA needs Floorball more than vice versa.
Floorball is already on track to the Olympics and that is going on - without any deeper Floorball knowledge in the USA...

Let us now just line-up a few reasons in comparison to some other mainstream kids activities on the subject why USA need Floorball:

- Floorball has a ball that weigh, roughly  577 grams less than the ball in one of the most common kids sports in the USA, that is way above half a kilo, dude - how much does the kids weigh by the way and is not the relation kids weight as in relation to ball weight a good thing? We think it is if you want to play young kids well.
- Floorball gives not an obvious advantage to taller players - no further comments.
- Floorball provides players with a decent workout - another common US kids activity more or less fail to provide players with a good workout, beside ball tossing and shorter sprints - maybe a nasty statement by us here, but this looks rather true to us most often..
- Floorball cater in more efficient manners to stick-handling skills as compared to another more clumsy ancient in-door hockey emulation - we have discussed this earlier in larger posts..
- Floorball and concussions is at this point more or less an unwritten chapter in the field of sports injuries - they most likely exist - but so far this is an area where we at this point can not provide any good numbers or comparisons.
- Floorball happens to be - in part - invented in the USA.

And the list could go on.

So when will this take place?
Floorballcentral will describe the evolution/explosion of Floorball in the USA in a coming post that cover different stages.

Right now we are still in the first “bubbling” stage, where still many many early adopters in the USA have still not yet heard about Floorball..

Hold Out. And feel great that you belong the the pre - early adopter group...

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
