The worlds best Girls

Let’s wrap up WFC ladies U19.

Canada is the first ever non-European country participating.
Canada lose only one single game.
Canada play 4-4 with Denmark that wins the B group and get promoted to the best group for next time.
Canada has one player picked to the all-star team.
Other teams seemed to have problems with understanding the way Canada play Floorball...

Our Danish friend Steen Houman further made these comments:
Team Canada have only played Floorball for 8 months (at this level) and became the positive surprise of this World Cup. The country with half a million Hockey players have potential.
Steen continue with interesting facts and observations as we do a very free translation here...:
- Sweden only won 3rd place.
- Norway ended as number 8 and will be moved down (at the senior ladies level they are 5th in the world and  ahead of Hungary and Slovakia, but not at the U19 level.)
- Slovakia ended as 6th, their seniors are 12th - so this is a country on the rise
- Polen ends up 5th and was only one goal losing as they played the champs Finland
- Germany did not meet expectations this time and ended up at 11th place

Floorballcentral is certain that Singapore or one other country will participate from Asia next time.
And we also say that it would be almost crazy not to get a US team going as soon as possible.

So girls, even if the USA does not have a U19 girls team yet. But if you play Floorball and can get some serious hours into this - and if then you also have a Ice Hockey or Field Hockey background... It should not be fully impossible to get good enough - to be able to fight about the honor to represent the USA as a national team player.
Canada can do this - and we know some of their players relate to Hockey -

We say USA can do this too.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
