A Take on Basketball and Poetry

Is there someone that knows who installed the first pair of Basketball hoops in Tomah, or in Wisconsin or even in the Midwest..
I do not know!
But I do know that such an event would be a very very historic one for many many people.

We could ask the same questions about Soccer, or Football... Who put in the first pool table or Bowling alley - why not Ice rink?

We know something else...
Tomah is first with real IFF licensed Floorball nets. This means that we are most likely also first in Wisconsin and perhaps also first in the Midwest?
We suspect that the nearest Floorball nets today are either found in Canada or Texas...
Not too many people understand the historic value of this yet. They will.
Not even if we claim that Floorball is not only the world best support-sport for hockey. It happens to grow faster and bigger than hockey too - as folks lets it be around for a while.. It is just a bit of fun -to play.
One day folks will know - what they do not know today.

That is what defines our future - a living history that happens now with a slap shot  in front of your eyes.

Irrespective if you like poetry or not - from March 10th we will start to use these nets!

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
