Vive L'Hexagone

The Hexagon, is a nickname for France since the country almost is shaped like a hexagon. So if you did not already knew this - you just learned something new.
Today the IFF runs a very good story upon Floorball growing with the first International tournament from France. Three teams involved (France, Italy and the Nederlands) and may we suggest you read the rest here http://www.floorball.org/news.asp?id_tiedote=2269

On a completely other note... The issue, or problem as we see this, with different names for one sport means that some news are kind of hard to find. Here is for instance a superb vid on Storvreta. The problem is that this vid has only been tagged in Swedish. So a movie like this may only be found as you search for "Innebandy", i.e. the Swedish name for Floorball. We think that is sad for the development of Floorball - but still here it is and it is almost a "world premiere" in the English speaking world of Floorball.

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
