New Stick Brands

Oxdog made a splash this year as a new manufacturer. Rumor say that this is a company run by people that left Exel as they had new owners taking over Exel. There is no doubt about the fact that readers here want to know more about Oxdog, since this seems to be a popular subject. Well, we do not have much more at this point beside of what we already have said. Plus, that it seems like, Oxdog sticks made a lots of scoring during the last International weekend. If you know more please drop us a line.

There is other new producers on the scene too that not have made the same market splash yet.
Ever heard of Louis XIV? This is a Swiss brand that came to the market last year (see Image) and they have just had a new set of sticks licenced by the Swedish SP institute http://www.louis-xiv.ch/. So I would expect news from them.

What is Wooloc? Another new brand from the Czech Republic and they have also had sticks certified in Sweden and it seems like their website will open soon at http://www.wooloc.com/.

The numbers of different brands that make Floorball sticks are incredible, some are very active others not very much soo. Floorballcentral thinks they are too many and should consolidate. Other rumors indicate that perhaps some Hockey stick manufacturer also looks into the quest of producing Floorball sticks..
We also look forward to Precision and their opening of a new website as they have been promising this for some time now at http://www.precisionfloorball.com/.
Let the ball roll.

Caution

Research suggest that eye-injuries are more common in Floorball as compared to Tennis, but less common as compared to Squash (similar to Racquetball).
To minimize this risk of injury Floorballcentral recommend: Use certified protective eye-wear (mandated in many European areas for the youth). Do not lay down on the court. Follow the rules strict on stick height.
